The purpose of this blog is to teach you how to hear music so as to deeper understand it and derive more enjoyment from it. By doing so, you will not only increase your musical memory, it will help you to develop the skill of remembering any music you hear and have the ability to play it by ear without even looking at the musical score!
Most people when they hear music, it sounds good and they derive limited enjoyment from it. Good musicians know how to hear deeper into the music and understand how the overall musical structure is laid out in any given piece of music.
2 skills are vital for this: relative pitch and perfect pitch. I talk about these skills in more detail in my other blogs and even how you can develop them.
Even with these skills, it is important to know how to use them to understand any given musical piece.
